AI Ad Localization: Make One Ad Feel Local in Every Market

Scale Your Video Creative Output with Predictable Pricing
"How AI ad localization turns one ad into a native version for every market: local cast, voice, and lip-sync, with no reshoot. See costs and a $990 pilot. "
“Translation changes what your ad says. Re-Cast changes who it’s for.”
One master ad can now become a native version for every market — a local cast, a local-language voice with true lip-sync, local settings and on-screen text — without a reshoot. Here is how AI ad localization works, where it pays off most, and how to do it without putting your brand at risk.
Every brand that crosses a border faces the same choice. You can reshoot your commercial in each new country, which is slow and expensive. Or you can run the ad you already have with a voice-over, which is fast and cheap but rarely convinces anyone.
AI has opened a third option. At AdVido, we call it Re-Cast: we take your finished ad and rebuild it so it looks and sounds as if it was shot in Luanda, Lagos, Nairobi or Dubai. The product, the edit and the brand stay exactly as you approved them. Everything that tells the viewer “this wasn’t made for you” changes.
Why a dubbed ad still looks imported
A voice-over changes the words, but viewers decide whether an ad is “for them” in the first second, mostly with their eyes. Three signals give a dubbed ad away:
- The face. The people on screen clearly belong to another market, so viewers file the ad as foreign and scroll on.
- The lips. Mouths don’t match the new words. Even when nobody can say why, the ad feels off, and trust drops.
- The place. Kitchens, streets, shops, wardrobe and even the price on the end card still point somewhere else.
None of these is a translation problem. They are casting, setting and craft problems — which is why fixing the language alone rarely fixes the result.
What AI ad localization actually means
AI ad localization adapts an existing video ad for a new market using AI: a new local cast, a voice in the local language, lip-sync that matches it, and localized on-screen text — all without reshooting. The tools to do each piece now exist. What they don’t do on their own is decide what a Lagos viewer should see, or check that the slang lands in Luanda.

How Re-Cast works
A Re-Cast version takes 5 to 7 working days from brief to delivery, in four steps:
- Brief (day 0). You send your master ad, brand guidelines and target markets.
- Localize (days 1–2). We adapt the script, check slang and idiom, and cast for the specific city — not just the country.
- Build (days 2–5). Our studio creates the local cast and settings, the local-language voice, lip-sync, on-screen text and a local end card.
- Approve (days 5–7). A native-speaker reviewer signs off, you approve, and we deliver 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 versions with 15-second and 6-second cutdowns.
The work runs from AdVido’s India studio, where the creative direction, AI pipeline, 3D and editing sit under one roof, backed by 25+ years of film, animation and visual-effects experience.

Where it matters most: Africa and other growth markets
Africa is where the gap between “imported ad” and “local ad” is widest — and where ad budgets are moving fastest to the short-form video formats that localization serves best.
- Digital ad spend across Africa is forecast to reach $6.5 billion by 2029, growing about 15% a year (BusinessWire, citing ResearchAndMarkets).
- Nigeria is expected to put 84% of its ad spend into digital by 2029, and Kenya’s internet advertising market is growing at 16% a year, the fastest in the world (PwC Africa Entertainment & Media Outlook).
- Asian brands are pushing hard into the continent. Chinese brands already hold an estimated 40% of South Africa’s new-vehicle market (Forbes Africa), and Indian manufacturers are steadily growing exports to Africa (The Japan News via Asia News Network).
Many of these brands arrive with a library of ads made for home. Re-Cast lets them reuse that investment while showing up as a local brand.
Our launch markets are Angola and Mozambique (Portuguese), Nigeria (English, Pidgin, Hausa, Yoruba) and Kenya (English, Swahili). Next come the Gulf (Arabic), Francophone West Africa (French), Brazil and Indonesia. The same method works for any brand moving between any two markets.
Cost and speed compared
Re-Cast sits between a full reshoot and a do-it-yourself AI tool: much faster and cheaper than the first, and far less work for your team than the second.

Self-serve tools can swap a face and sync lips well. But someone still has to write the local script, choose a believable cast for the city, catch the line that reads wrong in Angolan Portuguese, and own the result. That is the work Re-Cast takes off your plate.

Keeping localized ads brand-safe
Localization done carelessly can create legal and reputational problems. Every Re-Cast project follows four rules:
- Synthetic talent only. We never put a real person’s face or voice into an ad without their signed release.
- Rights checked per market. Music and stock footage are often licensed country by country, so we confirm the licence covers each new market or replace the track.
- AI labels handled. Meta, TikTok and YouTube have rules for labelling realistic AI content. We agree with you who applies the label before launch.
- You approve every version. Product, price and claims stay locked to your approved master, and nothing runs without your written sign-off.
Try it on your own ad
The fastest way to judge AI ad localization is to see your own ad, born local. We offer two low-risk ways to start:
- A free 8-second sample. Send us your ad and one target market. We’ll re-cast 8 seconds of it and send it to you privately.
- The Market Proof pilot — $990. One ad, one market, fully re-cast in 7 working days. The $990 is credited in full if you sign a retainer within 60 days.

Frequently asked questions
What is AI ad localization? It adapts an existing video ad for a new market using AI: a new local cast, a voice in the local language, matching lip-sync and localized text, without reshooting. Re-Cast adds the human layer: a local script, casting for the city and a native speaker check.
How is it different from AI dubbing? Dubbing changes the voice. Localization also changes who appears on screen, where the scene is set and what the end card says, so the ad looks as if it was made in that market.
Which languages do you cover? We launch with Portuguese (Angola, Mozambique), English, Pidgin, Hausa and Yoruba (Nigeria) and Swahili (Kenya), followed by Arabic, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesia. Other markets are available on request.
Do you use real actors’ faces? No. We use synthetic talent. A real person’s face or voice is only used with their signed release.
What do you need from us? Your master ad file, brand guidelines, the target markets, and any local price, retailer or call-to-action details for the end card.
How do we pay? Projects are 50% upfront and 50% on delivery, invoiced in USD by international wire, Wise or Payoneer.
